picoPSU-90 DC/DC PC ATX power supply (Fanless, 90 Watt) | |

Great PSU for a low power system, as the description says works very well with the D201GLY/GLY2 motherboards from Intel, since there's a 4-pin power connector for the motherboard connector and the PSU doesn't conflict with the ethernet connector on the motherboard. Very cool running and efficient. |

Great value motherboard comparing to VIA's, Jetway's and others' current models. Not quite as low power as most of their offerings but with a much better price/performance ratio. I use it in a mATX case as a headless home server for backups, audio streaming, and torrent downloader with Ubuntu Server runnig from a flash card, and sharing a 500GB 3.5' disk. It does support 2GB RAM (I'm using a Kingston 667 2GB chip that works) and that much memory allows you to run several filesystems in RAM and no swap to ease the wear on the compact flash card. Overall I'm very happy with it, except for the lack of good power management options on the BIOS. I wish there was a way to lower the power the motherboard and processor uses on idle, like on ATX mothrboards. |

Nice case for a good price, the small door on the front with the CF to IDE adapter came very handy for my build. It's not very sturdy, particularly because of the plastic tabs that hold the outer shell together with the case skeleton. I'm worried they'll break if I open and close the case often. Hopefully that won't be necessary. The decision to include a 4000 rpm small 40 mm fan is not a very wise one in my opinion since a slower and quieter 70 mm fan fits perfectly. I cut two holes on the case and instaled two 70x70x15 fans (one in, one out with an air guide beteewn them) in the same place were previously one 40 mm fan resided. It's much more inconspicuous now and the Intel D201 motheboard inside runs much cooler. |
